Privacy Policy

Effective 27 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Kinsy app and the kinsy.app website (together, “Kinsy”) collect, why, and what choices you have. We built Kinsy to keep your family’s information private: most of it stays on your device, we never sell your data, and the content you add is never used for advertising.

1. Who we are

Kinsy is operated by Kristina Kononets, an individual based in the Republic of Cyprus (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, write to support@kinsy.app.

2. Information we collect

2.1 When you use the app without an account

We use these to register your copy of the app with our server, keep it working and understand which app versions and languages are in use.

2.2 When you sign in with Apple or Google

We use this to create and restore your account, so you can sign in on another device without losing it. We never see your Apple or Google password.

2.3 Your lists, tasks, events and family

The lists, tasks, events, reminders and family members (including children and pets) you add are stored on your device. When features that sync this content between your devices or with your family become available and you use them, it will be stored on our servers in the European Union; we will update this policy before that happens.

2.4 Voice input

If you use voice input, speech is converted to text on your device using Apple’s speech recognition. Your audio is not sent to us.

2.5 Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We never receive your payment card details. Apple sends us information about your transactions (such as product, purchase and renewal dates, and transaction identifiers), linked to your app identifier, so we can provide the features you paid for.

2.6 Usage analytics and crash reports

We use Amplitude and Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example, which screens are opened and which features are used), and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports. These tools receive the events, device model, operating system version, app version and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not use Amplitude or Firebase for advertising.

2.7 Advertising measurement

We may advertise Kinsy on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram). To learn which ads bring people to Kinsy, the app may send Meta events such as app install, first launch and subscription purchase, using Meta’s SDK.

2.8 Notifications and permissions

Reminders are scheduled as notifications on your device. Microphone, speech recognition and notification permissions are requested only when needed, and you can change them at any time in your device Settings.

2.9 Website and email

kinsy.app does not use cookies or analytics. Our hosting provider processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the website. If you email us, we use your message and address to reply.

3. Why we process your data (legal bases)

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers below, each for the purpose listed; their own privacy policies explain how they handle it:

We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. International transfers

Some providers (Amplitude, Google, Apple and Meta) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep data

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw any consent you gave. To delete your account or exercise any right, write to support@kinsy.app from the email linked to your account or tell us how to identify it. We answer within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority — in Cyprus, the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, or the authority in the country where you live.

8. Children

Kinsy accounts are for people aged 16 and over. Parents can add their children as family members; such profiles have no account of their own and contain only what the parent enters. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

Connections to our servers are encrypted, sign-in tokens are kept in the device Keychain, and access to our systems is restricted. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

10. Google user data

When you sign in with Google, Kinsy receives only your basic profile: your Google account identifier, name and email address. Kinsy’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when Kinsy changes, for example when new features start processing new data. We will show the new effective date here and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
